Product Review: Buxom Full-On Lip Cream

Hello friends! Today, I’m doing a review on a brand new lip gloss I discovered over Thanksgiving holiday. I was visiting my family, and my mom, who subscribes to the Sephora monthly beauty subscription box, gave me some of the products she doesn’t plan to use. One of these products was the Buxom Full-On Lip Cream in the color Hot Toddy. You guys, I love this product.

First of all, the color is a nude, light pink color, which is my favorite type of lip color. The texture is rich and creamy, and it actually smells like vanilla. I noticed once I applied it over my lipstick, that my lips started to tingle. So I figured it must have a lip-plumping effect. I checked out the product on their website, and it’s right in the title, Full-on Plumping Lip Cream Gloss. According to the product description on the website, “A unique peptide and hyaluronic acid booster helps to plump your pout to new levels, while hyaluronic spheres moisturize and fill.” The description continues on to say “Vitamins A and E provide lasting moisture for soft and luscious lips.”

I’ve worn this lip gloss out a few more times since then and you get used to the tingling sensation after a few minutes. I will say if you have sensitive skin or are sensitive to fragrance, you might want to try a different lip product. But if you’re looking for a gloss that delivers high shine and in a pretty nude-pink color, I would recommend this product. As far as the lip-plumping factor, this wasn’t too important to me as I feel my lips are a decent size. But I do think the tingling sensation prompts you to pout your lips more and they are super shiny, giving you an illusion of a fuller-lip.

So bottom line, would I recommend this product?

Yes, I would. I’m also interested in seeing what other products this brand offers based on the rich texture and quality of this gloss.
