The holidays are right around the corner and there’s no better time than the present to start thinking of gifts for family and friends. I’ve been browsing around the internet and stores for cool items and let me tell you, there are so many gorgeous things on the market right now. But alas, we cannot buy everything, so I’ve narrowed down a list of 9 items your family and friends will love.
- Click and Grow Smart Garden
I’ve seen this Click and Grow Smart Garden online and I love the fact that it’s so low maintenance. The gardening system monitors the light, soil and water intake so there’s no need to fear destroying your plants! You’ll have fresh herbs regularly right in your kitchen. $99.95 at Williams-Sonoma.
2. Digital Subscription to Magazine
Do you have a friend or family member who constantly watches makeup videos, gaming reviews or even cooking tutorials? A digital subscription to a magazine in their favorite genre would be the perfect gift. Magazines are great because they included the latest industry news, educational articles in certain categories and entertainment. This gift is also eco-friendly as the publication is digital instead of being printed. Prices vary.
3. Luxury Bath Products
Many people can relate to the relaxing feeling of taking a shower after a long day at work. A gift bag filled with a few luxury bath products will take shower and bath time to a spa level of relaxation. Lush Cosmetics has so many gorgeous bath, body, hair and face products in a variety of smells and textures. They list all of the ingredients in each and every product, most of which are natural items, and even offer vegan options. Another company to consider is Nourish. This bath and body company offers a variety of non-toxic and biodegradable products, including soaps, bath fizzies and salt scrubs. Prices vary, starting at $3.50.
4. Study Bible
If your friend or family member has expressed interest in reading the Bible more or it’s simply time for them to upgrade to a more durable one, a new Study Bible would be perfect for them. There are so many options available on Lifeway.com that will help readers understand the text better with extra commentary, maps and more.
5. Statement Ring
If you’re searching for a piece of jewelry for someone special this season, I’d highly recommend a colored stone ring. Gold, silver and natural stone pieces are wonderful selections because they last a long time and are considered investment pieces. This petite cushion gem ring from Tacori is gorgeous and comes in different stone options. $240 from Tacori.
6. Slow Cooker
If you don’t have one of these, you’re doing yourself a serious disservice. Slow cookers are awesome because you can cook recipes at either low heat or high heat for set times and the meals always turn out delicious. Try this 7-quart slow cooker from Crock Pot. $34.99 at Kohl’s.
7. Genuine Leather Boots
I have tried my fair share of faux leather boots growing up and while they are cute and more cost-effective up front, they last maybe two years tops. Genuine leather shoes are nice because they are more durable, last much longer and in effect, end up being more cost effective over time. I recently had to replace my genuine leather boots which lasted me for seven years. It took me a while to find a pair I love, but I eventually purchased these Anne Klein boots. I’ve worn them a couple of times and have received compliments from women of all ages. This brand also offers boots in wide calf sizes, so that’s also a perk. $129.99 at DSW.
8. Eyeshadow Palette
The makeup industry is more diverse and saturated than ever and this is a huge benefit for the consumer. Whether you’re searching for highly pigmented eye shadows, matte options, creams or certain colors, you will be able to find a product that meets your needs. Juvia’s Place offers a really nice neutral palette and Morphe has a nude palette as well. Both brands offer fun, themed palettes with bold, pigmented colors if that’s more your speed. $20 and $25, respectively at Ulta.
9. Monogrammed Pajamas
The holidays are the perfect time to receive new pajamas. Kick it up a notch with gifting a monogrammed pajama set. This set from Marley Lilly comes with a collared button-up shirt and shorts. The design is classic, and most importantly, comfortable.
I hope this list gave you some great ideas for Christmas gifts! What are you planning on gifting your friends and family this year?
